Cindy A. Raisch Award
Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas has been a two time recipient of the Cindy A. Raisch award in 1997 and 2010 for its efforts in connecting people in need of legal help with suitably experienced lawyers. The award, established in 1996 by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Lawyer Referral and Information Service, recognizes superior service in public service oriented lawyer referral services. Some of the notable efforts that attracted the award for LRS’ involvment include The People’s Law School, Senior Housing Resource Fair, Texas Women’s Conference, Austin Police Department National Night Out, City of Austin “Getting Connected”, Vietnamese Community Legal Fair, and the Brown Bag Launch presentations for governmental and private bodies.

Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas has been accredited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) since January 2008 and has an A+ Rating, which is the highest possible rating. Ratings by the BBB are based on 13 factors about a business, including complaints history, time in business, type of business, transparency in business practices, known advertising issues, and known licensing and government actions. The BBB accreditation is a sought-after seal of competence for all businesses.
Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce
Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas is a proud member of the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Created in 2016 with the express goal of empowering and strengthening the LGBT community and its allies, the organization engages in various educational and advocacy programs designed to assist members with their business initiatives. We stand with the Austin community and participate in all initiatives designed to improve lives.
Austin Independent Business Alliance
Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas is a member of the Austin Independent Business Alliance (AIBA). Formed in 2002 at a meeting of local business owners under the theme; “local is a community value” and the understanding that independent businesses built the city of Austin, reflect its culture, and provide the things needed for a fulfilled life. Spurred on by this spirit, the alliance engages in numerous efforts designed to help local businesses grow.
