LRS Lawyer Registration
To register for LRS’ attorney listing, you must practice full-time in the Austin, Texas area; have an office suitable for receiving clients; carry professional malpractice insurance; and be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
Lawyer Registration Steps
- Complete the LRS Member Agreement
- Complete the Subject Matter Applications that apply to your practice
- Submit a declarations page of a malpractice insurance policy (see rules for amounts of coverage)
- Pay membership dues payment
Note: On some of the Subject Matter Applications, there is a time requirement within which you must have handled transactions, participated in agency proceedings, participated in jury trials or hearings, or handled cases through discovery. Upon completion of the paperwork, please mail, email, or fax the completed paperwork to the LRS office. After review, the executive director will contact you to schedule an interview to review the application and LRS policies and procedures. You may choose up to four law types (called panels). Most of these panels have a corresponding application that you will need to complete.
